If you forged the heart of Texas Rock with the sensibilities of British Pop, you would probably cast the melodic passion of a band like Dalton.

This brother-fronted foursome from New Braunfels, TX, brings stunning pop melodies over massive, soaring guitars in a forthright outpouring of faith, hope, love and rock ‘n roll. The Dalton brothers - Preston (guitar/vocals) and Spencer (drums/vocals) heard the call of music 6 years ago after having gone to a more than memorable rock concert. The sonic and visual experience had a deep impact– literally igniting a fire of “this is what we want to do” inside of them.

Armed with their sheer determination and driven by this burning desire, the brothers spent the next few years learning to “make music”, solidifying their talents and honing razor-sharp songwriting.

“Wrapping it all up in a three and a half minute musical statement is no easy task. Great songwriting is such a skill and a key element in sharing our music and communicating to our generation,” says Spencer. “We have so far to go, but I am certain we are off to a great start! - We really took the time to get the songs right".

The result? Dalton's stunning debut "Taste The Sky”. Jam-packed with radio-friendly-rock and can’t-get-it-out-of-my-head melodies. "Taste The Sky” has both a harder edge, sometimes reminiscent of Smashing Pumpkins in “Overlight”, and a warmer, Goo Goo Dolls sensitive side, such as “Life Afraid”, but it’s in songs like: “City Lights” and the title track: “Taste The Sky” where Dalton really rises to the occasion with defining pop rock songs. The album title grew from an art sketch by Preston. "I had done a graphic collage based on a really powerful scripture verse. It’s dramatic, symbolic and mysterious - stressing hope and encouraging people to be all they can be - to, "taste the sky,” because each one of us has that potential”.
